Niecy Nash is the latest addition to the already impressive cast of the upcoming Fox horror-comedy anthology series "Scream Queens."

The 45-year-old actress, who is best known for her role as Deputy Raineesha Williams on Comedy Central's comedy series "Reno 911!," will play Denise in the new show conceived by "Glee" creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. Denise is a private security guard who "kicks major butt," E! News reported.

Nash is a series regular on the TV Land sitcom "The Soul Man" and on HBO's medical comedy "Getting On." She also has a recurring role on Fox's romantic comedy series "The Mindy Project."

The 15-episode first season of "Scream Queens" will also star Joe Manganiello ("True Blood"), Lea Michele ("Glee"), Keke Palmer ("Akeelah and the Bee"), Abigail Breslin ("Little Miss Sunshine"), Skyler Samuels ("The Stepfather"), Emma Roberts ("American Horror Story") and Jamie Lee Curtis ("True Lies") as series regulars.

Pop stars Ariana Grande ("Sam & Cat") and Nick Jonas ("Kingdom") will both appear in a recurring role.

Newcomer Billie Lourd ("Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens"), daughter of actress Carrie Fisher and CAA managing director Bryan Lourd, is also part of the cast.

The first season in the new anthology series is set on a college campus rocked by a series of murders.

While there are only a few known details about the show, Roberts recently teased that the upcoming series is going to be hilarious. "I literally was crying laughing when Ryan was telling me about it, and telling me some jokes on it," the 23-year-old actress told Vulture at Valentino's Haute Couture show last month.

At the time, the "We're the Millers" star thought that the vibe of the show would be quite similar to that of "American Horror Story: Coven," in which she played Madison Montgomery.

"It going to be a lot of girls, and it reminds me of 'Coven' in a way that it is just like having all that female energy on set."

"My character - which I can't tell you about yet - it's even better than Madison Montgomery," she told MTV News at z100′s Jingle Ball on Dec. 12.

The hour-long comedy -- which will be executive produced by Murphy, Falchuk and Brennan along with Dante Di Loreto -- will premiere this fall.

"I knew I wanted to work with Brad and Ian again on something comedic, and we are having a blast writing 'Scream Queens,'" Murphy said in a statement when the show was announced back in October. "We hope to create a whole new genre-comedy-horror-and the idea is for every season to revolve around two female leads... We're very grateful to Dana [Walden] and Gary [Newman] for their enthusiastic support."
