Salsa and Latin music star, Marc Anthony has sold over 12 million albums, won several gold and platinum record awards, two American Grammys and seven Latin Grammys.
Anthony was born in Spanish Harlem of Puerto Rican parents and in 2012, was recognized by New York magazine as one of the ten most Influential New Yorkers. During the same year, he was inaugurated into the Billboard Hall of Fame and has been recognized as an influencer in acting, song-writing, fashion designing and television producing.
It seemed like the ideal fit when pop singer/actress/dancer and consumate businesswoman, Jennifer Lopez, paired up with Anthony. The two were married in June 2004, and Lopez gave birth to their children, twins Emme Maribel Muniz and Maximillian David Muniz. Unfortunately, Anthony filed for divorce in April of 2012, and the legal separation was finalized last June.
During their marriage, the duo purchased real estate, one property residing in Long Island, eight acres tucked away along a secluded, winding road.
The main house was built in 1941 and was later renovated by Thom Filicia, the end result was a 10,084-square-foot red brick home.
The house itself features 10 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms with large open rooms (ideal for entertaining), a mahogany-paneled library, a home office, a chef's kitchen equipped with a butler's pantry and a grand sunroom with heated terrazzo floors that open out to the formal dining room.
The lower level includes a movie theater, professional recording studio, auxiliary kitchen and ample storage space, while upstairs contains the large master suite and guest bedrooms.
The estate grounds are lusciously landscaped, with an oversized swimming pool, a pool pavilion, a tennis court and a carriage house. A 4,000-square-foot Colonial guesthouse sits on the property and includes 5-bedrooms and 5-bathrooms.
The Long Island estate that was once shared with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez and their twins is currently on the market for $12 million.
