"Masters of Sex" and "Ray Donovan" have been renewed for their third seasons, according to a report by TV Line.

Both series will return with 12 episodes when the show's return from hiatus. Showtime President David Nevins commented on the news and praised both show's for their complex storylines.

"Both Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex are quintessentially Showtime: bold, provocative, premium television with production values at the top of the food chain," he said. "These acclaimed shows are filled with complex and interesting characters and settings that will no doubt give audiences compelling television to invest in for seasons to come."

Viewers of Showtime's hit series "Homeland" will be getting twice as much action when the show premieres this fall. According to Hit Flix, the pay cable network announced on Monday that the spy thriller will air back-to-back episodes when it premieres on Sunday, Oct. 5.

The new change will affect Showtime's new series "The Affair," which was scheduled to appear on Oct. 19, but will now debut on Oct. 12 instead. The series stars Dominic West, Ruth Wilson, Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson.

Showtime's Executive Vice President of Original Programming Gary Levine explained the new changes in a released statement.

“In the aftermath of 'Homeland’s' stunning finale last season, there is such strong anticipation for the start of season four that we wanted to give Homeland fans an extra generous helping of Carrie and company,” he said.

The first trailer for the fourth season of Showtime's hit series "Homeland" surfaced online in July after premiering during the show's Television Critics Association’s press tour.

Entertainment Weekly points out that while fans are getting Carrie Mathison back, they won't be seeing her on American soil. The trailer hints at Pakistan and Afghanistan as the setting for the show's fourth season, which should make things very interesting with Carrie back in the field.

"Homeland" will be adding Corey Stoll (House of Cards) and Laila Robins (Bored To Death) onto it's ensemble cast for the show's fourth season.

TV Line has reported that Robins will play Martha Boyd, the United States Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as a series regular. Stoll will guest star as Sandy Bachman, the CIA Chief of Station in Pakistan.

A statement from Showtime reveals that the fourth season “will find Carrie assigned to one of the most volatile and dangerous CIA stations in the Middle East where she is back on the front lines in the war on terror.”
