OG Maco Denies Rumors That Claim He Has AIDS: 'I Am In Fine Health'

On Wednesday, a vicious rumor began spreading around the Internet that claimed "U Guessed It" rapper OG Maco had AIDS and was in his last days.

The rumor went so viral that OG Maco had to take to his Instagram to tell fans that he did not have HIV or AIDS or any other "degenerative or deadly diseases."

“Despite the vicious rumors, I am in fine health and have no degenerative or deadly diseases,” he wrote on Instagram. “My best holiday wishes to the person spreading this irresponsible and cruel rumor throughout social media, but know we are unmoved and will not falter in the face [of] such cowardly and underhanded tactics.”

The rumor began when gossip site Baller Alert made a post that claimed a popular Atlanta rapper was "deathly ill and refusing medication." The article cited a nine-minute phone call recording which was on YouTube that featured a man admitting his disease to a female friend.

Users on the Reddit hip-hop board then began to speculate that the man in question was OG Maco, due to his voice and him being from Atlanta. It didn't matter that the man in the audio was referred to as "Ben," because users began to dig up tweets that revealed people used to call the rapper Ben.

To add fuel to the fire, the day after the call was first upload, OG Maco tweeted, "This hoe must have a death wish. B*tch I got you."
