'The X-Files' Teaser Gives Us Our First Look At 'Band-Aid Nose Man' [VIDEO]

(Photo : YouTube/FOX) A newly-released teaser for the upcoming "The X-Files" revival gives us our first look at the scary-looking character dubbed as the "Band Aid Nose Man."

Last June, TVLine revealed that the episode 2 of "The X-Files" revival will feature a monster-of-the-week character dubbed as the Band-Aid Nose Man. And it seems that the latest teaser for the follow-up series just gives us our first look at the scary-looking character.

At the start of the 30-second video, a tall man with a malformed face and a noticeable band-aid under his nose is seen standing at the top of the stairs menacingly staring at someone. Though the promo doesn't actually show what the Band-Aid Nose Man is capable of, it appears that he can give Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) some serious headache and also has the strength to throw people across the room.

"This is dangerous," Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) tells Mulder.

To which he replies, "When has that ever stopped us before?"

While the name of the new "monster" doesn't sound particularly menacing, TVLine described the mysterious man back in June as "intimidating, odd, weary, creepy and immeasurably strong."

Written and directed by Glen Morgan, episode 2, entitled "Home Again" will pick up several months after the events of the premiere. And according to TVLine, the episode is "absolutely brutal." In fact, the website noted that some people who have knowledge with the production are calling it as one of the most violent "The X-Files" episodes in history.

But aside from monster-of-the-week episodes, Duchovny told The New York Times last March that the limited series will also feature serialized storytelling.

Duchovny's remarks was confirmed by series creator Chris Carter in an interview with The Canadian Press in April, saying, "You really get what you have come to expect with 'The X-Files,' which is a combination of the ongoing Mulder and Scully conspiracy saga, relationship and standalone episodes that will come interspersed."

"That said, it will all be of a piece, meaning that it won't feel disconnected," he assured fans. "It'll all feel as if it's taking place in what I would call television 'real time.'"
